Barbados

Barbados – South Coast

The small resorts in Christ Church have all developed around beaches of pure white sands that reach along this coast. Calm waves lap at the shore, making these beaches great places to bath in the sun and cool off in a the sea. Maxwell beach, south of St. Lawrence, is a quiet, mainly residential resort home to several hotels. The nightlife in Hastings is low-key and mainly hotel based, with a few bars in the town. For some of the best nightlife on offer in Barbados, take a five minute drive into the St Lawrence buzzes with people, with the open-air nightclubs and selection of bars making this a popular area to visit after the Barbados sun has set. The combination of excellent beaches coupled with the most developed nightlife on the island makes this a popular resort, justifying its title as the tourist centre of Christ Church.

Barbados – West coast

The West Coast of Barbados is known all over the world as the “Platinum Coast” because of its renowned white beaches. This area is very popular with the rich and famous and, with its gorgeous surroundings, you can definitely relax in style. Exuding an ambiance of superiority and elegance, regal hotels line this coastline which stretches from Bridgetown to just beyond Speightstown in the North. Most of the hotels on this part of beach are in the Parish of St. James, where air of exclusivity prevails, providing you with the opportunity to indulge yourself in one of the fine restaurants or chic wine bars. Holetown was the first settlement in Barbados, though now its hard to tell from its modern appearance today. Now despite its small size, Holetown is the islands third largest town and its vibrant, electric atmosphere makes it a fantastic place to take a vacation in Barbados.
